The Dipex Charity welcomes Bob Gann and Fiona Stevenson to the board of trustees. Both were voted in at the charity’s AGM in December.
“We’re really pleased to welcome Bob and Fiona as new Trustee to Dipex.” said Chair of Trustees, Professor Sean Hilton. “Their expertise, commitment and enthusiasm will be invaluable during the next stages of our development.”
Fiona Stevenson is Professor of Medical Sociology and Head of Research at UCL’s Department of Primary Care and Population Health. Her research focus is on communication between patients and professionals. On joining the board, Fiona said:
“I have closely followed the progress of healthtalk.org over the years I welcome the opportunity of a formal role in shaping what I see as an invaluable contribution to supporting patients, carers and the public in understanding and engaging with experiences in relation to health.”
Bob Gann is a consultant in digital health, who is passionate about bridging the digital divide. He brings years of experience working for NHS.UK as strategy and engagement director. He is also a Visiting Professor in Health Informatics at Plymouth University. Bob told us:
“I’m delighted to be joining the Board of Dipex, a charity I’ve admired for a long time. I’m deeply committed to people having the best information in the most accessible formats. In particular, when they’re faced with difficult decisions about treatment and care. Listening to people like themselves talking through the accessible medium of video can make all the difference”
The team are thrilled to have Bob and Fiona on board and look forward to working with them.
